Five weeks ago, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to produce Selected Recordings of Us and to help secure the long-term financial sustainability of Undone Theatre. Today, we are happy to announce that we have not only meet our target, but we’ve also managed to raise 120% of our intended goal. Thank you!

We have been overwhelmed with the response to our campaign and we are so grateful to the generosity of our 62 supporters, to everyone who retweeted us, shared out Instagram posts, and helped us spread the word. Having raised £3,005, we will be able to produce Selected Recordings of Us in its entirety as well as develop an exciting parallel digital project to further engage with our queer audience and fellow creatives. Provisionally titled Remembering Selected Recordings of Us, this online blog will document the making of our show, as well as our audience’s feedback and other fragments from our production to contribute towards the recording of queer history.
We really couldn’t have done it without you all and we cannot wait to debut Selected Recordings of Us this September and finally showcase all of our hard work!
The current pandemic has taken a huge toll on the live performance industries, making it very hard for small emerging companies like ours to produce new work in a financially viable way. Within the subsidised sector, funding and grants are particularly limited at the moment and this makes it hard as a company to ensure that all of the creatives that are involved within a project are paid fairly for their time and talent. The money that we have raised through our crowdfunder will be used to cover expenses such as: fair pay for performers (according to ITC rates), essential set and props, PPE, and so forth.
