ABOUT US
Undone Theatre is an award-winning, queer- and migrant-led company platforming marginalised stories through formal innovation. We create relevant new work that challenges traditional forms of storytelling and the dominant narratives they embody.
From our base in London, we work internationally—our work has been staged as far as Japan, Ireland, and Italy, as well as in prestigious British venues such as the Barbican, Soho Theatre, and Bristol Old Vic.
Since our foundation in 2020, we've developed multidisciplinary projects and brand new shows that played for sold-out audiences and garnered critical acclaim. With each project, we create a space for diverse communities to gather and discuss the personal and political questions we raise through the art we make together.
Examples of this include performing Lessons on Revolution in the encampment in the occupied London School of Economics in 2024; documenting an intergenerational conversation between anti-apartheid activists in our "1968 TODAY" zine; producing a festival on queerness and migration at Queercircle; curating an exhibition on yellow-face in opera for The Butterfly Project; recording a podcast about queerness and the city. All these opportunities and resources we made free for everyone to access.
